Kathy Quinn puts her horseback riding skills to the test

KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- The Kansas City police mounted patrol are holding an open house October  9 at their stable located in Swope Park, and FOX 4's Kathy Quinn went in side the stable Friday morning for a behind the scenes look. During her time in the stable the horses demonstrated some of their training and Kathy demonstrated her ability to ride a horse. Watch the video above to see how she did.

Behind the Badge and the Bridle is free and runs from noon to 3 p.m. Families can meet the mounted KCPD officers and their horses and tour the barn. There will also be demonstrations by the mounted patrol, the canine unit officers and dogs. Families can even see the tactical response team and their vehicle the "Bear." The bomb and  arson squad will also be there with their robot.
