Man critically injured in Kansas City shooting

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — A shooting victim was taken to a fire station with critical injuries on Monday afternoon. Police tell FOX 4 the man shot was seriously hurt, but alert after he was struck at about 4 p.m., near 33rd and Monroe, which is close to the Central Academy of Excellence.

The suspect is described a black male in his 20’s who was about 6-feet tall, wearing a blue sweatshirt and grey shorts. He was seen running away from the scene southbound, no other information was immediately available.
