Police say no crime was committed in case of woman whose boyfriend told police she had been abducted

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Police say they have located the woman whose boyfriend reported that she was abducted at gunpoint Thursday.

According to police, the victim’s boyfriend called 911 just before 4 a.m., to report that three men had abducted his girlfriend near 8th and Brighton. Police immediately responded to the scene and began searching the area.

The boyfriend was taken to police headquarters for questioning, and later the woman was dropped  off at a local police station.

During the police briefing later Thursday morning police said no crime had been committed in this case, but did not release any other details.
