Police release idenity of motorcyclist who died after crash Sunday afternoon in Overland Park

OVERLAND PARK, Kan. — A motorcycle driver in Overland Park has died as a result of a crash Sunday.

Around 1:35 p.m. Overland Park officers responded to W. 119th Street and Lowell Avenue on a report of a motorcycle collision. Upon arrival, first responders found the driver of the motorcycle unresponsive.

The victim, 62-year-old David R. Estes was taken to an area hospital with life-threatening injuries. The motorcycle was the only vehicle involved in the accident.

Estes later died as a result of injuries.
