A KCK officer was dragged from a suspect vehicle attempting to make an arrest.

KANSAS CITY, Kan. — An officer attempting to make an arrest during a traffic stop was dragged from a vehicle when the suspect attempted to flee Tuesday morning, FOX 4 has learned.

The incident began when a driver hit a street sign near Kansas City Kansas Community College. Campus officers called in the accident.

The driver had reportedly pulled over in the driveway of a car lot when an officer on a motorcycle arrived. After running the suspect’s information, the officer learned the suspect had outstanding warrants.

As the officer approached the suspect to make an arrest, the suspect took off, reportedly dragging the officer 10 – 15 feet.

The officer suffered minor injuries. No suspect information has been released.
