Man accused of unleashing ‘road rage’, using gun to threaten driver in Shawnee

SHAWNEE, Kan. — A 23-year-old Platte City man was arrested on Wednesday after police say he pointed a gun at another driver in a ‘road rage’ encounter.

Police say it happened on Interstate-435 near Shawnee Mission Parkway. Police arrested Mackenzie Zimmer at about 3:30 p.m. He was charged Friday with aggravated assault and criminal use of a weapon.

His bond is set at $5,000 in Johnson County, Kan.
