Woman held gun to dog’s head during attempted robbery, police say

ST LOUIS — A Missouri woman faces charges of burglary and robbery after the St. Louis County prosecutor says she broke into a home through a back window, held a gun to a dog’s head in an apparent robbery attempt.

Kiauna Proudie, 24, was arrested after investigators tracked her down through DNA testing. Prosecutors said she confessed to the crime.

The victim escaped the home after a brief struggle. The dog was unharmed.

Proudie remains jailed on a $50,000 cash-only bond.
