Tuesday night shooting in Northland leads to stand off with Kansas City police

KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- A Tuesday night shooting injured one person and led to a standoff with police. The shooting happened near Northwest 88th Street and North Main Street.

Late word from police is that they made contact around 6 p.m., with a man claiming his neighbor shot him, which led to an hour-and-a-half long standoff. FOX 4 was at the scene when one person came out of the home with a small child. Minutes later, a second person did as well.

The two appear to be teenagers, and there's still no word on what lead up to the shooting.

Police say the victim has non-life threatening injuries.
