KANSAS CITY, Mo — Nominations for the 2nd Annual Cinema Buzz Movie Trip Awards Show Include: La La Land, Rogue One: A Star Wars Story and Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them.

Movie Trip TV is proud to announce the film nominees for the 2nd Annual Cinema Buzz Movie Trip Awards hosted by Theresa O’Leary.  The winners will be revealed live at the awards show Wednesday, February 22, 2017 at Screenland Tapcade 1701 McGee Street, Kansas City, MO at 8PM ET/5PM PT and will be broadcast on Facebook Live.

“Movie Trip TV is a combination of two of my favorite things: travel and movies,” said Movie Trip TV creator and personality, Theresa O’Leary.  “When I travel, I’m always thinking about what movie was shot there, and it adds an exciting connection to the location.  I think that’s true for many people.  I am thrilled to celebrate movies and inspire others to travel at the same time.”

This year Cinema Buzz Movie Trip Awards has partnered with My Power of One (an e-commerce lifestyle brand that believes in the power inside each ONE of us to have a positive impact on our world) to help raise money for Kansas City, Missouri’s Foreign Language Academy 8th grade class trip to Puerto Rico.  Students will sell the “Inspire” shirt from the clothing line with 10% of the profits going to the student travel fund.  Approximately 32 students will take the trip in Spring 2017 and have been working hard over the past several months to raise funds.

“When I was approached with the idea to partner with Movie Trip TV and the Foreign Language Academy it was pretty much a no-brainer for me,” commented Sue Vicory, founder of My Power of One.  “The inspiration and exposure you receive from being in another country and meeting people and experiencing the culture is a priceless gift.”

New to this year is a partnership with Cinema Buzz and Vision Digital Cinema.  Cinema Buzz will rebroadcast the show at a date TBA.  Kansas City based video production company, Vision Digital Cinema whose work was recently seen on national television in the 2-hour series finale of the E! News reality show ‘Catching Kelce’, are serving as co-producers of the show.

Steven Samblis, founder of Cinema Buzz, said, “We are extremely excited to be to the founding marque sponsor of the Cinema Buzz Movie Trip awards.”  He added, “for many, the most endearing element of great movies are the locations and images brought to the screen by filmmakers.  There is entire business sub-culture built around visiting movie locations around the world. I feel an award show of this kind is something that was long overdue.”

This special one night event will also see the premiere of Visit Kansas City’s “Kansas City Movie Trip”.  Produced in conjunction with Visit Kansas City and Movie Trip TV, the 5-minute video showcases locations throughout the city where films have been shot over the past several decades.

About Cinema Buzz

Cinema Buzz was created by Steven Samblis after spending seven years working with the biggest studios In Hollywood, interviewing actors and directors for upcoming blockbusters.  The site is a social network for film and TV fans and a marketing platform for movie and television studios.  Fans on Cinema Buzz interact with the site by watching and sharing trailers, celebrity news, 1st looks, interviews, playing movies trivia games and much more.  With each interaction, Cinema Buzz becomes more aware of what each fan loves and begins to deliver individualized content they love rather than trailers for movies they would never watch. With the help of the Studios and TV Networks, we are creating a rewards program that incentivizes fans for their loyalty. With every interaction, fans are given points that they can spend on cool swag, Blu-rays, DVDs, movie tickets and other awesome gifts.  Also, with each interaction we will learn more about what’s important to them.  This knowledge can then in turn help Hollywood executives figure out which trailers and featurettes are working and which aren’t… in real time.  This will help them to understand what people are really looking for and in the end it will help them to create the movies and TV shows that we as fans are looking for.

The best part is that Cinema Buzz was designed to bring fans together, by actually helping like-minded fans of cinema and television find each other. Over the past 7 years the founders of Cinema Buzz have hosted hundreds of movies screenings for tens of thousands of fans in their home town and it’s fair to say that they know how to throw some incredible movie events. We have real world experience creating awesome events.  So, in the future, as our viewership grows, we will host special meetup screenings for the fans at theaters near their homes across the country.  Welcome the World’s Greatest Entertainment Community.  www.cinemabuzz.com
