KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- Around the nation, 12 million packages are expected to go out today at the U.S. Postal Service. FOX 4's Nicole DiAntonio reported from the Union Station location on Monday, which opened at 7:30 a.m., but customers were seen coming in to drop off packages in the self-service bins since FOX 4 arrived at 4:30 a.m.

"We look forward to having this busy day," said "We know that our customers want their packages so we want to provide them with service," said Deborah Anderson, a manager at Union Station's post office.
