Missouri residents will soon see sales tax tacked onto their Amazon purchases.

KANSAS CITY, Mo. —  Sales tax will soon be tacked onto your Amazon purchases.

Starting Feb. 1 the online retail giant will begin charging sales tax for purchases made in Missouri.

The announcement adds Missouri to the growing list of states required to pay the sales tax.

Kansas residents have already been required to pay sales tax on their Amazon purchases.
