Break in Holt, Mo., case where human remains were found in ditch leads to murder charges against two

PLATTSBURG, Mo. -- The Clinton County Sheriff's Department held a news conference on Wednesday afternoon to provide information on the investigation into human remains found in a ditch Monday off S.E. Cannonball Road near Holt, Mo.

Clinton County Sheriff Larry Fish identified the body as Donald Christopher Hadden, a man from Liberty who was reported missing on July 2, 2015.

Clinton County Prosecutor Joe Gagnon said that two suspects are charged with murder. Micah L. Wynes and Joseph D. Seward both face first degree murder and armed criminal action charges.

Prosecutors have requested $500,000 bonds for both according to online court records.
