Crash closes southbound 169-Highway at Barry Road

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Road crews have reopened the southbound lanes of 169-Highway after a crash caused a closure near NW Barry Road.

A semi hauling heavy equipment struck a pillar of the bridge, causing debris to fall onto a vehicle. MoDOT has closed the southbound lanes of 169 as well as the Barry Road bridge due to safety concerns.

The bridge has since been reopened.

One person was taken to a hospital with injuries.
