FOX 4 announces new late news anchor/reporter

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Journalist Pat McGonigle is joining FOX 4 News as late news co-anchor and reporter for Kansas City’s number-one-rated news team.

McGonigle comes to FOX 4 from KSDK-TV, the NBC affiliate in St. Louis, Missouri, where he was morning anchor for the last six years. He holds a bachelor’s degree in communications from Saint Louis University, and a master’s degree in mass communications, with an emphasis in broadcasting, from Emerson College in Boston.

McGonigle has received numerous broadcast awards, including a Regional Edward R. Murrow Award for breaking news; three Regional Emmys for Best Morning Newscast, Spot News and Community Service; First Place Series Reporting from the Associated Press; and the Nebraska Association of Broadcasters Silver Award for In-Depth Investigative Reporting.

Prior to his time in St. Louis, Pat was an anchor/reporter in Rochester, New York; Grand Rapids, Michigan; Omaha, Nebraska; Portland and Bangor, Maine.  McGonigle will join Loren Halifax on the FOX 4 News at 10 starting July 17, 2017.
