Man might lose arm after machete attack in KCK; suspect still at large

KANSAS CITY, Kan. -- A man has been severely injured and might lose his arm after being attacked Friday by a man with a machete, police say.

KCK police said the attack took place near 18th Street and Ridge Avenue after the two men got in an argument.

The victim has a major cut on his forearm that might cause him to lose his arm, but his injuries are not life-threatening.

Police did not release any identifying information about the suspect but said the man is on the loose.
