Dog dies in house fire at 26th and Cypress

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Fire caused extensive damage to a home and killed a dog Tuesday afternoon at 26th and Cypress.

The fire broke out at about 3 p.m.

Fox 4’s photojournalist talked to people who were gathered around the home and he learned the dog’s name was Tom.

The cause of the fire had not been determined.
