FOX4 rides along with Operation Triple Beam as they put major dent in violent KCK crime

KANSAS CITY, Kan. -- In the last four years, police say there’s been a significant spike in homicides, drive-by shootings and other violent crimes in Kansas City, Kansas.

Armed with guns and strapped with bulletproof vests, local officers recently teamed up with federal agents and hit the streets for two months in an effort to catch the bad guys and keep the streets safer.

FOX4 reporter Robert Townsend and Photographer Jerry Paauwe rode along with “operation triple beam” for more than three hours one night.
