Local Account Executive
The FOX affiliate in Kansas City is seeking an experienced and highly motivated multi-platform Account Executive to grow our core broadcast business, interactive platforms and digital TV.
The Account Executive must develop new business across all platforms. The AE will negotiate rates, prepare and present avails and sales packages to agencies and direct advertisers.
The AE will be expected to increase the share of business from existing accounts and create new non-traditional revenue opportunities while utilizing research to position
the station as a premiere marketing vehicle and yourself as a marketing consultant. You will create and build relationships with all WDAF-TV, Antenna TV and fox4kc.com
media clients.
Candidate must have previous broadcast sales experience. Use of Wide Orbit, Excel, Microsoft Word, Power Point and other technology is a plus. College degree preferred.

Photojournalist
WDAF Fox 4 Kansas City has an opening for an experienced photojournalist. An applicant should have a degree in journalism or related field with at least two years of experience working in a newsroom environment. A college degree in journalism or related field preferred.
Working with an award-winning photography staff requires strong skills in all aspects of shooting video, editing and lighting. Candidate must be able to edit on Final Cut Pro with some experience on Avid. Teamwork is a necessary skill while working with reporters and assignment desk personnel in fast breaking news situations.

Assignment Editor
WDAF Fox 4 Kansas City is looking for an Assignment Editor. Applicant should be an experienced journalist. We are looking for someone with good news judgment and good decision making skills. The job requires being able to do many tasks well at one time. Some of them include: dispatch news crews, listen to scanners, answer phones, monitor e-mail, gather facts. Applicants must be social media savvy. Candidates should be detail oriented. They must keep track of news crews, disperse news content and alert the newsroom to breaking news.
Applicants should be able to search beyond the basic facts of a story to find additional exclusive content. Candidates must be driven, able to work well under pressure have strong leadership and people skills. Applicants must have two years of previous television news assignment desk experience. A college degree is preferred.

Morning Executive Producer
WDAF FOX 4 Kansas City is looking for a morning Executive Producer who can lead an exciting, energetic 5 1/2 hour morning news block. Applicants must have big, breaking news experience, strong editorial judgment, newscast producing expertise and fully understand the needs of the morning news audience. We are looking for someone who is committed to the importance of daily news as well as the elements that make a morning show memorable and fun. Successful applicants will critique our show and submit their vision for morning news with copies of full newscasts in which they were involved in the broadcast decisions. Candidates should have social media experience and leadership in the digital content areas. This position requires strong leadership, solid decision-making skills and the ability to work will in a dynamic newsroom environment.
Experience required: 5 years producer or executive producer experience, degree in journalism or communications preferred, digital content skills in dot-com and social platform, experience in creative content production.
