KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Save the date! One of FOX 4′s favorite community events, School Day at the K is set for Wednesday, May 4. The 2015 World Series champions will be playing the Washington Nationals, and it’s expected to be a sell-out, so get your tickets early! We want thousands of kids, parents and educators there for the science-fun!
The largest educational field trip in Kansas City gets started in the morning when the gates open to all participating schools.
Our first meteorology lesson on the field is scheduled for 10:00 a.m. FOX 4 Chief Meteorologist Mike Thompson, along with fellow meteorologists Joe Lauria, Karli Ritter and Michelle Bogowith will entertain and educate the crowd with their experiments.
School Day at the K is full of cheering and mini-explosions and laughter and game-playing! And then the fun continues when the K.C. Royals take on the Washington Nationals.
