KANSAS CITY, Mo.— Kansas City Police are detaining several children after responding to a call about vandalism at Mary Harmon Weeks Elementary School. Police were called to the school near 42nd & Indiana around 7 p.m. on Tuesday for a break-in. When officers arrived, seven children were seen running from the school.
Officers say there was extensive damage to the school's library and computer lab. A total of eight children were involved in the incident. They range in age from nine to 16-years-old.
