There will be some big changes for football fans headed to Arrowhead Stadium for Monday night’s Chiefs-Chargers game, including a new exit ramp from eastbound I-70 to Blue Ridge Cutoff.

According to the Missouri Department of Transportation, the ramp entrance from eastbound I-70 to Blue Ridge Cutoff will now begin just beneath the I-435 interchange. It will feed into a collector ramp system that also will carry traffic from southbound and northbound I-435 heading to eastbound I-70 and to Blue Ridge Cutoff.

Temporary electronic message boards will be placed to help sports fans to exit early onto the new collector ramp system.

The work is part of the $39 million project to add a third lane in each direction on I-70 beneath I-435.
