Gas Main Break Causes Evacuations in Olathe

A truck struck a gas meter near an Olathe shopping center Tuesday morning, forcing several businesses to evacuate.

According to authorities, a tractor-trailer struck a gas meter in the 100 block of N. Clairborne, near Santa Fe, around 9 a.m. on Tuesday morning. Several businesses, including a Dollar General and an Ace Hardware, were forced to evacuate as crews worked to shut off the gas.

There were no injuries reported in the accident.
