Veterans Take Special Trip to Washington D.C.

More than 50 Veterans are heading to Washington D.C. as part of  Honor Flight. The organization honors Veterans for their sacrifices. The group has made 11 flights from the Kansas City area with Tuesday's flight being the first chartered flight.

Since the group chartered a plane that allowed more people to take the trip. WWII Veterans get top priority and Tuesday's flight even included women.

The flight took off around 6:30 a.m. on Tuesday and will return Tuesday night around 10 p.m. For more information on Honor Flight click here.
