KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Two metro brothers and KU grads have teamed up and created a mobile application that allows users to win instant prizes.

It’s call Front Flip. With it users can scan the QR code from any of the 500 metro businesses currently participating. A virtual scratch-off ticket will then reveal if users win a store discount or free item.

“We really wanted something that would make you go, ‘Wow, that was cool,'” said Matt Beckner, co-founder and CEO of Front Flip.”That’s why we designed a scratcher that vibrates on your finger. You’re actually interacting with them.”

According to the Beckner borthers, in the app’s first week since launching, nearly 1,000 new users download the app each day. They plan to increase their local customer base then expand nationally.
