The Kansas City Chiefs claimed quarterback Kyle Orton off waivers on Wednesday after being released by the Denver Broncos on Tuesday.

The Chiefs were one of three teams to put in a claim for Orton, who had lost his starting job to second year quarterback Tim Tebow.

The Chiefs have yet to comment on the acquisition of Orton, and lost this past Monday night 34-3 at New England when Tyler Palko got his first NFL start.
