KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- We've all been told that a high-fat diet is bad for us, and we should cut back as much as possible. But a high-fat diet is actually keeping one little Kansas City, Kansas, boy healthy.

Reed Williams was born with a rare condition in which his brain is not able to use glucose for energy like a brain normally does. The unusual solution is to feed the child enough fat so that his brain can use it.
