UMKC Stays Hot, Tops Canisius 72-67

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The UMKC Kangaroos were able to overcome a sluggish start and hold on to beat Canisius 72-67 on Friday night.

UMKC, playing for the first time in nearly two years at historic downtown Municipal Auditorium, have now won six of its last seven games after starting the season 1-4.

Trinity Hall scored a career-high 27 for the Roos, hitting on 12 of 16 from the field. Reggie Chamberlain and Kirk Korver added 10 points apiece for UMKC.

Josiah Heath lead the Golden Griffins (1-8) with 14 points and 18 rebounds.
