Chiefs Lose in Overtime: 16-13

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — The Kansas City Chiefs suffered a devastating loss against the Oakland Raiders in over time. The Chiefs stuck it out until the very end, but a field goal in overtime put the Raiders ahead by three points for a final 16-13.

Sebastian Janikowski put the Raiders on the board first with a three point field goal in the first. The Chiefs would also score in the first quarter after a field goal by Ryan Succop with three minutes left.

The score remained tied at three points each until the Raiders scored a touchdown in the third quarter. The Chiefs answered with another field goal taking the score to 10-6.

Both teams scored in the fourth quarter and the score was tied again at 13 sending the game into over time. The Raiders won the coin toss and had the first possession in over time.

They were able to get the ball within field goal range within the first four minutes of over time. Jankikowski returned to the field and kicked a 36-yard field goal with the win.

The Chiefs have one game left in the regular season. They will play the Denver Broncos on Sunday, January 1 in Denver.
