Liquor Store Clerk Killed During Robbery

TOPEKA, Kan. — Topeka police are searching for a man involved in a robbery at the Hudson Liquor Store. The store’s clerk was killed during the robbery.

Police were called to the store located at 810 SE 15th Street on Monday afternoon.

The man is a white male about 6 feet tall, slender build. He was last seen running south from the businesses. Witnesses stated that he stopped at least once to pull his pants up, which are described as pajama or cargo pants with a multi-colored pattern.

Officers believe the suspect was intoxicated and may live in the neighborhood in which he ran.

Anyone with information is asked to immediately call Detective George Henley 368-9491 or the Watch Commander through the communications center at 368-9551.
