LONDON -- They say blondes have more fun, but a new study suggests men are more attracted to brunettes -- at least according to the men in London.

In a study conducted by the University of Westminster, researchers had a woman dye her hair blonde, brown and red and sent her to three different nightclubs in London. Researchers found when blonde, more men chatted with her. But when brunette, more men found her to be more attractive and believed her to be more intelligent.

When the woman sported red hair, men approached her only 18 times, as opposed to 60 times as a blonde and 42 times as a brunette.

The study suggests that although blondes have typically been idolized, brunettes may be the more favored of the bunch with current culture.
