KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- A second passenger inside a car fleeing from police early Thursday morning has died and now prosecutors say they will consider adding new manslaughter charges against Casey Allen Cordell, 24, of Olathe, Kan.

Another of Cordell's passengers, Christopher Ford, died Thursday morning. Officers from Mission and Westwood, Kan., said they chased a stolen, red Honda Accord driven by Cordell into Missouri around 2:15 a.m., but stopped the chase at the state line.

The Honda continued traveling at a high rate of speed through Kansas City, Mo., nearly hitting a Kansas City, Mo., patrol car. That officer turned around to follow the Honda. Shortly after, the Honda ran a red light and T-boned a city water truck at 18th and Prospect.

Cordell and the driver of the utility truck both sustained minor injuries in the accident.
