Website Offers Break-Up Bargains
Breaking up is hard to do, and so is deciding what to do with all those trinkets of affection when the love fizzles out. Of course, nowadays, that is what the internet is for! Enter Never Liked It Anyway, a site where scorned and sad lovers can shed their failed relationship mementos.
“You may have broken-up, but there’s no need to break-down,” the site says.
Sellers post their wares, the original price and their asking price — plus their sob story, so you know why that Tiffany engagement ring you’ve got your eye on is half-price.
“Dated for 10 years and did not want to commit to marriage. He was more committed to his work and travels and did not want to settle down,” one listing says.
Another former bride, self-described as “still a little fragile,” posted pics of her wedding day on her listing for her wedding dress.
“This was my dream dress…but was not worn with the dream man,” she said. “Dress is now looking to be worn for the dream couple!!!”
The site doesn’t say how many baubles and gowns they’ve helped get out of the hands of the broken-hearted into the hands of the starry-eyed, but they do suggest sellers spend their earnings on “something frivolous that will make you feel good.”
