Missouri Set to Get $195M in Foreclosure Abuse Settlement

KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- Five of the nation's leading mortgage lenders and government officials signed a historic $25 billion agreement on Thursday, requiring the lenders to reduce loans for around a million homeowners at risk of foreclosure, and providing some relief to millions of others who were improperly foreclosed upon.

Missouri attorney general Chris Koster says that the state will receive around $195 million to help those with mortgage problems, while Kansas officials say that state will receive around $50 million.
