BLUE SPRINGS, Mo. -- A Blue Springs cat has finally been removed from the tree that it wouldn't leave.
Neighbors say the cat went up the tree on Sunday. Ten people tried climbing the tree themselves to get to it, even cutting down some limbs to try to reach it but had no success. Neighbors became so concerned about the cat, they called FOX 4. We talked to authorities, who said the cat would come down when it got too hungry and thirsty.
But on Thursday, the fire department was on the job along with Parker Tree Service of Blue Springs. The cat scrambled higher in the tree, but the tree man didn't give up! He reached the cat and brought it down, to the relief of neighbors. No one knows who owns the tree-loving, yellow and white tabby cat.
