KANSAS CITY, Mo — The Kansas City Royals announced two new additions to their 2012 broadcast team on Friday.

Former Angels announcers Rex Hudler and Steve Physioc will join Ryan Lefebvre for on-air telecasts. Lefebvre will have a reduced role on televised broadcasts, but will call more games on the radio.

Denny Matthews, Bob Davis, and Steve Stewart will also return for radio broadcasts. Pregame and post-game shows will include Joel Goldberg, Jeff Montgomery, and Nate Bukaty.

Hudler and Physioc, a Kansas State alumnus, called games during an extremely successful era of Angels baseball. The 1999-2009 era included a World Series title in 2002. They were both let go by the team in 2010.

Hudler was drafted by the Yankees in 1978, and played for a handful of different MLB teams from 1984-1998.
