Two Rescued from Two Alarm Fire in Shawnee

SHAWNEE, Kan. -- Firefighters are on the scene of a two-alarm fire at 75th & Goddard in Shawnee. Fire official report two people were rescued from an apartment balcony.

People living in the apartments say they were alerted by smoke alarms when the fire broke out. Two people were taken by ambulance to the hospital for minor burns.

The Red Cross is helping people who were displaced by the fire. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
