Squeaky 4-Week-Old Puppy Rescued from Underground Pipe
DETROIT — Precocious puppies. They’re cute, but they can get themselves in some uncertain predicaments. Such is the case with a four-week-old Puggle-Dauschund in Detroit.
The little guy got himself stuck in an underground pipe. He spent the night in the cold, dark tunnel– his squeaks tugging at the hearts of those who could hear him but had no way of helping.

They called plumbers who used a camera to look for the little guy, but had no luck. He was too far in. Then a Bobcat excavator went to work digging around the pipes — and tearing up the yard. Shortly after 5:30 p.m. on February 9 one worker, lying in a cold, damp hole reached under the house and fetched the puppy from his hiding place.
Although cold and a little dehydrated, the pup proved to be in surprisingly good health. His mother was also overjoyed when reunited with her little tike.
