Man Faces Felony Charges After Hitting Cops

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — A Johnson County man faces four felonies after running down a traffic officer directing traffic near the Sprint Center. Court records show Tamirat T. Bule, 37, was driving the wrong way on Grand Boulevard when several attempts to stop him failed.

Bule didn’t stop for police. He accelerated and hit two Kansas City police officers, sending one up  on his hood and injuring him.

The suspect faces two counts of 2nd degree assault of a law enforcement officer, resisting arrest and leaving the scene of an accident.

Prosecutors have requested a bond of $250,000
