KC Man Charged in 1992 Cold-Case Rape
KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Prosecutors say that DNA technology has helped bring charges against a Kansas City in connection to the 1992 rape and robbery.
Marshall E. Darlington, 43, has been charged with two counts of forcible rape and first-degree robbery.
According to court documents, in 1992 a woman reported to police that while she was attempting to enter her front door, a man pushed her through the door from behind, then held a six- to eight-inch blade. He forced her to disrobe, took $15 from her wallet and raped her twice before fleeing on foot.
Darlington is currently an inmate at Farmington Correctional Center in Farmington, Mo.
