PICTURES: Alabama Tornado Damage

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. — After multiple tornadoes touched down in Missouri, Kansas and Illinois on Tuesday, Feb. 28 and Wednesday Feb. 29, portions of Huntsville, Alabama were also hit hard by at least two tornadoes on Friday, March 2.

Widespread damage was reported in the city of Meridianville. It is unclear at this time if anyone was injured.

As severe weather threatens most of Alabama, schools were dismissing early in Jefferson County, Tuscaloosa and Walker County, which were all hard by deadly twisters in April 2011.
