No. 5 Mizzou Trounces Oklahoma State, 88-70
KANSAS CITY, Mo. — The Missouri Tigers advanced to Big 12 semifinal play after defeating the Oklahoma State Cowboys 88-70 on Thursday night at the Sprint Center.
After being tied at 6 with 16:28 to play in the 1st half, Mizzou went on a 17-0 run. The Tigers led the Cowboys 49-24 at halftime. Oklahoma State (15-18, 7-11 Big 12) outscored Missouri 46-39 in the 2nd half, but the damage had already been done.
Senior guard Keiton Page led the Cowboys with 22 points.
Missouri (28-4, 14-4 Big 12) delivered another outstanding offensive performance. They also got it done on the boards. The Tigers shot 59.3% from the field, and out-rebounded the Cowboys 37-18.
Missouri senior guard Kim English led the team with 27 points and 6 rebounds. Senior guard Marcus Denmon had 24 points and 8 rebounds.
No. 5 Missouri will play either No. 25 Iowa State or Texas in the Big 12 semifinals at the Sprint Center on Friday night.
