100-Year-Old Man Still Finds Bowling Fun
GRANITE CITY, Il. — Do you think you’ll be doing your favorite past time when you’re 100-years-old? A man from Granite City, Illinois does.
Art Fletcher is 100-years-old and still bowls every week. Fletcher is also legally blind.
“We have to tell where the pins are and he has to use his imagination,” says bowling member Richard Javos.

Fletcher says his average is six pins over his age.
“I find a spot where it works and stick with it,” he said.
One member says she can’t believe Fletcher is 100 and is surprised by his abilities.
” I don’t think I’ll live to be a 100, let alone bowl when I’m 100!” said fellow bowler Beverly Sarvis.
The other bowlers in Fletcher’s group says he provides encouragement and inspiration for the younger participants.
