Man Charged in Girlfriend’s Death in Kansas City

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — A Kansas City man has been charged with murder in Jackson County. Roger Chandler, 54 faces one count of second degree murder in the death of Gwendolyn Pahmeyer.

Pahmeyer was found on Friday morning at 8th & Myrtle in Kansas City. Chandler was the victim’s boyfriend. He told police the two had been drinking when he struck her in the bed. He said he found her cold and unresponsive when he woke up on Friday.

Prosecutors requested a $250,000 cash or secured bond.
