Angry Birds and a Big Plant that’s Destined to Die

A mother goose is protecting her young by attacking passers-by in suburban St. Louis. One incident was caught on camera. (See video above.)

Over in Kansas, the town of Chase is getting publicity because of its 7,000 pound Agave Americana Plant, also known as the Century Plant. It blooms once every 100 years and then dies.

Ed Ward of Chase bought the plant in 1976 when it was 12 inches tall. It's now 12 feet tall and weighs 7,000 pounds.
