Governor Brownback to Survey Kansas Tornado Damage

WICHITA, Kan. — Several tornadoes touched down on Saturday night in western Kansas. The damaged caused officials in Sedgwick County to declare a state of emergency on Sunday, April 15th.

Westar Energy is reporting power outages affecting approximately 16,000 customers; approximately 14,000 of those outages are in Sedgwick County.

Governor Sam Brownback will tour the damage by Black Hawk in Sedgwick County around 3 p.m.
