Boynton Beach, Fla. -- A Florida neighborhood is glad to see an eyesore replaced by a church. A former strip club is now a house of God

The New Evangelical Assembly of Christ Church now calls the Boynton Beach community home. The church used to be the Platinum Showgirls Strip Club.

A young man who attends the church says he spent his teens sneaking into the strip club.

Warfield Alexandre, 24, says he was just 16-years-old when he would sneak in the club. The Boynton Beach Community Development Agency says the club was a haven for drugs, prostitution and other problems. In October of 2009, the club was shut down after being raided by a SWAT team.

"There would be like a little bar on this side, and all right here would be DVDs of pornography, CDs, and everything," Alexandre said.

Church members say the church represents transformation. The renovations cost about $100,000.
