30 Things ‘Every Woman Should Have & Know’ By 30
If the big 3-0 weren’t already daunting for some young women, Glamour magazine has re-released their list of 30 things every woman should have and know by the time she finishes her last year in her 20s.
The list, 30 Things Every Woman Should Have and Should Know by the Time She’s 30, was originally published in 1997. Years later, the list is now being published as a book with essays by famous women, including Katie Couric and Portia de Rossi.
Some of the items on the list include owning “a set of screwdrivers, a cordless drill, and a black lace bra,” as well as knowing the names of “the secretary of state, your great-grandmothers, and the best tailor in town.” The list also offers some more sentimental advice, like “that your childhood may not have been perfect, but it’s over” and “one friend who always makes you laugh and one who lets you cry.”
What do you think? Is this list a good starting point for women moving into the next stage of their lives? What would you add to it?
