Stone’s sister and the boy’s aunt, Heather Minton, 37, of Chico, Calif. also faces charges.

By waiving extradition, Porter, Matthews and Stone agreed that authorities can return them to the St. Louis area for prosecution.

Alsip and Illinois State Police located 5-year-old Porter Stone with his father, his grandmother Rhonda Matthews, and aunt at the Baymont Inn outside Chicago early Wednesday morning.

On Tuesday, Porter had just been released from Children’s Hospital in St. Louis, to go home to await heart transplant surgery. He lives with his mother, Tiffany Stone, near Kansas City and is on IV medication.
