Back to Business at Great Mall after Evacuation

OLATHE, Kan. — Police evacuated the north side of the Great Mall after a suspicious package was found Monday afternoon. Police said a passerby noticed the package and called 911.

Police said the package was a box located near the Home and Hobby entrance. A bomb unit investigated the box and determined it posed no threat. It’s unclear what, if anything, was in the box.

The Great Mall is located near I-35 and 151st Street in Olathe, Kan.
