Brewery to the Rescue Following College Beer Theft
LINCOLN, Neb. — A University of Nebraska student was a bit bummed-out after she lost her can of beer to a knife-wielding thief. That’s when a brewery came to her rescue.
According to WOWT-TV in Omaha, UNL senior Jessica Robertson was enjoying some beer with her friends last Thursday when a stranger walked up to their patio and asked for a beer. He was asked to leave, but then he pulled out a knife before running off with a can of Pabst Blue Ribbon Beer.
He was picked up by police a short time later, and escorted back to the patio where he was identified and arrested. WOWT reports that he hadn’t even finished the beer.
“They came and poured it out. What a shame. What a shame,” Robertson told WOWT.
Fortunately for Robertson, a representative from Pabtst Blue Ribbon saw the story and decided to help – bringing Robertson and her friends cases of beer.
“My parents will be so proud,” said Robertson.
